how many proxies do you guys recommend me to get? 10? 20 or 50?

I use no proxies, I just use proxies when pinging URL's to increase view count on articles etc.

As long as you take the time to write many good comments you don't need proxies.

but for harvesting, would you get your IP banned if you keep hitting the SE with your own IP?

I never use proxies for harvesting, I've done lot's of harvesting and so far google has asked me to type in captcha like 3 or 4 times total when doing a search. It's temporary after some short period google seems to delete this information because everything is back to normal.

If you really want to avoid akismet and other wordpress anti-spam tools sure go ahead and use proxies. In my oppinion proxies are of no use if you don't intend to do pinging to increase counts.

I tend to focus more on making sure comment is unique, I post 1 comment for each domain, and email and name is different everytime I try to post.

I don't understand why everyone is so worried about proxies.

Ok, I went ahead and order some proxies from http://www.yourprivateproxy.com

Now, does anyone knows how to add them to scrapebox? I copy and pasted them on the bottom left window where the other proxies were, but do I need to add a userid and password to the end of them since they are private or just copy what they gave me?
