Ping your own site?

I'm new to scrapebox and love it already... have one question about pinging, saw the video about pinging ezine articles and wonder if you could do the same thing to your own website to get better alexa ranking??

I'm sure it's possible but is it a good idea?

I mean, the traffic will increase which is at the same time good for rankings in google but I have one concern...

at the same time the bounce rate will increase if I'm not mistaken?

so is it a good idea to ping your own site?

I have just done an experiment of Pinging my own site.

I have a hit counter on my site

I set SB up to ping my site 100 times. When the ping was completed the hit counter on my site registered far less than 100 hits - more like 30.

Should the figure match ish?
