Cliche, but I get 100 opinion from 100 persons, so thought I'd ask in the right place
So do you guys blast web 2.0 properties or whitehat site directly?
And if whitehat site, what are the odds of being blacklisted by fecking Askimet (most retarded plugin ever)?

yes i do. So far i have 6 web 2.0 site pointing to my site. And I blasted for 3-4 days ,now each web2.0 site got around 1k backlink each
My ranking has slighty increase for those keyword as well.
