Google changed rules, anyone got affected? - bulkwarrior - 02-27-2011

I have a few money sites pushed using scrapebox and an article submitter. In the past few days I do see a drop in visitors and ranks. Anyone else noticed this?
PS. My sites all have about 30k~70k backlinks.

I haven't noticed anything myself personally. My blog seems to be steadily increasing with visitors and ranking. What rules did Google change? I've been out of the latest SEO info for a while.

Hi, first, thank you for your insightful comment on my other post.
What google did on or around Feb 25 was to penalize whatever website google deems as "content farm". This includes, but not is not limited to, article directories. If a website has a lot of duplicate content, whether it's copied from somewhere else or copied within the website, it'll get penalized. Just a few weeks ago I used to do a massive article directory submission with my links and found those "how to" articles pop up in the first page for the keywords I assigned to them. Not anymore. Those good days are history now. Those articles are still there, but they dropped from the 1st page of google to maybe 9 or 10th page.

Google faces fresh EU search complaint

As for rankings I've done some keyword research using different tools and I see no difference at all on top rankings for different terms.

Google should be put under a magnifying glass!

yeah, if you have many sites, you should see a change either way but here is why: http://oddhatseo.com/top-google/

they always shake it up and the head fake ensues... mayday, pappers, mfa'ers (the reasons they give are always a head fake, or technically speaking.. a lie)

I am not sure how many countries this affects so far?

I think only google.com results are effected so far?
