Is this setup good enough for 24/7 harvesting and posting? - lschmidt - 05-22-2011

I ordered scrapebox but haven't installed it yet because I'm waiting on parts to arrive for the PC that scrapebox will be running on. So, here's what my setup is going to be like:

Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93 Ghz
2 GB ram
10 private proxies
50 Mb down / 5 Mb up
Unmetered bandwidth

This machine will be dedicated to only running scrapebox. I'd like to have some kind of method/system to take maximum advantage of my computer and bandwidth. So, questions:

1) Is this a good enough system to run multiple instances of scrapebox?

2) Do I have a good ratio of system specs to bandwidth to proxies? Or is one area specifically lagging behind? For example, as I ramp up the # of connections, what do you think will limit me first? Is the # of proxies too low, or is my RAM/cpu not good enough?

3) What is a good method/system to have SB working for you 24/7? How do you get it to be scraping and posting all the time, even while you sleep? Is there a daily routine or set of tasks you go through?

4) If I'm going to harvest with private proxies (I know a lot of people say use public for harvesting though), how many threads would you recommend to harvest with 10 proxies, and not hit the google-rate-limit? There must be some sweet spot ratio of proxies :: connections => ex. number of proxies multiplied by 2 or something like that. Any idea?

Thanks!
