Google Competition Finder Add On- specify google domain - irfan - 03-17-2016

I'm sorry if the following are dumb questions but I could not find the answers anywhere. I have 3 questions:

1- is it possible to specify the google domain when using Google Competition Finder Add On ? If I want to search the competition for google like google.co.uk or google.com.tr?
2- This might be related to my 1st question. I am using Google Competition Finder Add On for allintitle: keyword queries. And when I manually search for it the results are different then Google Competition Finder Add On shows. I thought this could be the result of the data are provided from different google data centers. However the results are sometimes x10 more or less so theres a huge difference
3- Most of the time I get "Error 403". I am using 10 proxies and tried delays of 30 seconds, 45 seconds even 60 seconds. What is the recommended delay for this type of query.

Any directions greatly appreciated and thanks in advance

Irfan

no I don;t think you can modify the google engine for the competition finder

can you provide some example keywords?

all in title will need a big delay but I can't say what 60 sounds good. google doesn't give 403 though, thats probably from your proxy, google will give 503 or 302 etc... typically anyway

Hi loopline,

thanks for the answers. You're rght 403 error was a typo, I get "Error 503". Guess I can try longer pause times by trial and error but I was looking for a recommended setting Smile

I'm sorry to learn that I can't modify google domain for SERP competition but I just realized and made some tests.
Manually searching in google.co.uk, google.de, google.com etc gives the same number of results so it looks like this feature is not necessary Smile

I will try to check some example words when I find time, I am a bit busy at the moment

Thanks again
Irfan

Try 300 seconds delay. But you will need the proxies all unblocked to start.

You could just build a module in the custom data grabber for the other engines, but yes google will probably display the same numbers across all engines for the same query, just the order of results will change.

I'm also having a problem with this addon. I'm getting a "http/1.1 503 service unavailable" error. I'm using 20 semi-dedicated private proxies. It seems to run ok for about the first 10 requests but then returns an increasing number of errors. Do I need to set a longer delay? What would you recommend for 20 proxies?

503 from google is an ip blocked error. So yes try a longer delay and/or more proxies. 10 proxies is fine, but you just need a longer delay then you do if you have 20 proxies.

You may need to wait up to 48 hours of no use with google, for the proxies to be unblocked.
