Need some general tips and tricks - dandare30 - 02-04-2017

Guys and girls

Need a little help please for a newbie to save a hrs of crawling through forums and posting numerous threads. Thought I'd get a few general Q's in now to get me going in the right direction...

OK, Need to scrape to collect email address for a few categories i.e Take aways in Uk for my business.

I'll only need to scrape and create the email databases once generally. Should I but some proxies for the month that I'll need them or is there a better way.
How many proxies would I need? Private or shared.

Ive tried using the Yell plug in but only get 150 results but theres around 29000 on yell.com(what am I doing wrong)?

What are the best places to scrape generally, Yell.com google etc, any other places?

Any one on here do one to one advice for a fee to help me set everything up correctly.....lots of Q's for this and email campaign software etc.

All answers are really appreciated Smile

You won't need proxies for scraping emails from sites, unless your just in an insane hurry. Just keep the threads low and the domain wont' ban you. Assuming you have the list of domains to scrape mails from. else you may need proxies for scraping from google.

Good video on that here:

Yell blocks excessively fast. Like each results page has max 30 results and you can load 4-6 pages before yell blocks an ip. They cap you at 10 pages for any keyword location combo so it will take you roughly 2 ips to burn to get 1 keyword/location combo worth of results from yell.

But they unban a few hours later. You can build a test to see if your proxies are blocked.

Best is subjective, yell or google are probably "best" though, at least to start.

Ive done 1 on 1 training in the past for about $100 an hour, but I already still have some ongoing people that Im working with and my plate is just too full to take on anyone else. But you can check here and other forums as well.

You probalby would do well to check out my videos, Ive got over 100

Thanks for the above.

So is it possible to scrape all the websites from Yell in one go for a keyword. My keyword had around 30 000 listings!

I do need some one and one advice so if you do become free let me know. Same goes for anyone else with the experienceSmile

Is there a scraping software that's works better for scraping Yell.com yellow pages etc?

Thanks in advance
