TDNAM Scraper Would Be Better If Could Select Alpha Search
Posted by: mtngoat - 03-31-2010, 12:19 AM - Forum: General ScrapeBox Talk - Replies (5)

It would be great if I could select a letter of the alphabet that the scraper decides to scrape from the closeouts.

That way I wouldn't have to scrape 80,000 results just to get to domains that start with A.

This is how the page at godaddy works. So currently I scrape the godaddy site manually to import into the WHOIS scraper. Would much prefer to use the TDNAM scraper though, but at the moment can't do much with it - unless I'm looking for closeout domains that begin with 'z'.

Exclamation ADDON - Outbound Link Checker-USELESS?
Posted by: ankh - 03-29-2010, 05:24 PM - Forum: General ScrapeBox Talk - Replies (1)

I'm afraid I just don't get this add-on. Is there some secret way to sort, delete, edit, change, or save that list?!

I thought this was going to be so useful, but instead it is just useless to me. I can not remove ANY links from the checker. Does this make any sense to anyone else?

Im having problems importing lists.

I am looking to import a list in text function and then check Google index, however when I look to import, it says successful, but nothing happens.

OK, I can import partial lists, for instance, I upload these urls:-

Does anyone know why?

I'd love to use the import function to check the indexing of URL's.

I can PM examples if necessary..........

  Blacklist help
Posted by: adamwestrop - 03-28-2010, 12:09 PM - Forum: General ScrapeBox Talk - No Replies

My blacklist function doesnt seem to be working, I am trying to scan for sites to use for an automated system

I have listed sites in the local blacklist such as:-

However I list these in Scrapebox and select 'use local/cloud backlist' however every time I get the two above sites harvested. I have even tried listing the exact forum location of the sites where I would get the links:-

However even doing this, the above 2 sites still get listed.

I have checked the location where the blacklist is installed and I have Windows XP and it is installed:-

Downloads - Scrapebox - Blacklist - Blacklist(which is a text document).

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong, as I need this function to work properly really.

Can you please help.

Change Memory Options To Improve Slow Poster
Posted by: Erik Creed - 03-24-2010, 03:33 PM - Forum: General ScrapeBox Talk - Replies (10)

Hey all,

It seems you can stop scrapebox crashings by increasing the TEMP file size in internet explorer.

Scrapebox uses internet explorer when posting etc, so this really helps.

It's set on 50mb as standard so just increase this to 250 or more as I have.
Here's how you do it in Internet Explrer:
• Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
• The Internet Options dialog window will appear.
• OPen the "General" tab.
• In the "Browsing history" area, click the "Settings..." button.
• In the "Temporary Internet Files and History Settings" window, in "Disk space to use" field, enter the amount of disk space used by the Temporary Internet Files folder.

Hope that helps Smiley-violent116

Wink ScrapeBox Works Better Now - Update To V.1.12.18
Posted by: Erik Creed - 03-20-2010, 10:59 AM - Forum: General ScrapeBox Talk - Replies (5)

Hey all,

A new update for scrapebox has been released a few days ago.

And this rocks, all those freezing issues on slow commenting for blog engine blogs etc, got fixed.

So now you can use slow commenting without freeze issues, it still can freeze if you try to submit to too many blogs at once, but I've found that commenting on 1,000 blogs per run is very safe with no freezing.
I also set my timeout for slow posting to 10 seconds.

Also the option to "export valid posts" is gone, instead you can now use "export posted" after a commenting run.

Then there's some new google related update, but I have no idea what that is yet, will need to look into it. Smile

So update scrapebox now, this one works as good as the old versions.

  find niche related dofollow blogs
Posted by: Tinus - 03-19-2010, 01:42 PM - Forum: General ScrapeBox Talk - Replies (4)

What is the best/right way to find dofollow niche related blogs.

I just got a new blog with let's say the main-keyword : aerospace.

I can find lots of them by just clicking the wordpress mode and scrape a lot of keywords. Then press harvest. However 95% of wordpress blogs are no-follow.

I know blogengine is 50/50 do-follow, but I hardly get any aerospace blogenginge blogs.
Then i tried using the custom footprint with : intitle:aerospace or inurl:aerospace. Again I get many with WP, but they're no-follow & with blogengine I get only 3 or 4.

What custom footprints should I use to get niche related do-follow blogs?

Question Backlinks Alone Isn't Enough
Posted by: Erik Creed - 03-17-2010, 10:34 AM - Forum: General ScrapeBox Talk - Replies (5)

Hey everyone,

I've decided to make a post based on some recent exprience with the search engines...

I've noticed that backlinks alone won't get you good results.

Backlinks is just one important part, but not a fix all solution.

I've noticed that google, yahoo and bing put alot of weight on content as well. So if you have 10,000 backlinks but only 5 pages of content you're never going to see any good amount of traffic.

What you need is content pages such as articles, at least 30 articles.

My advice is sit down one weekend and just focus on writing articles, write 30 unique articles for one of your niche sites. But do not publish them all at once. Publish no more than 2 articles per day.
If you try to publish too many articles at once, you will look spammy to google.

I'd like to hear what you think is needed in order to get some decent traffic, as far as I can tell the following areas need to be covered:
- Lot's of Backlinks
- Some High PR backlinks
- Publishing new content on a daily basis.
- Easy website navigation + decent design/theme
- Privacy + Contact + About... pages
- Sitemap

So any suggestions and ideas as to how we can get more targetted traffic?

  feature suggestions
Posted by: globalads - 03-17-2010, 07:12 AM - Forum: General ScrapeBox Talk - Replies (3)

A useful feature to include would be the ability to quote a previous blog comment and/or name of commenter and add a line to you comment. Thus making it look like you are responding to a previous comment.??
