Dealing with Malware etc. - jguinn1 - 08-30-2011
I have had some problems with malware when running Scrapbox even after using the addon the checks for malware sites.
I was wondering if there is a way to protect your system from this (besides using antivirus/malware software).
I know there are some programs that allow you to run software in a "sandbox" and I was wondering if this would work.

Scrapebox doesn't cause malware.
Try formatting your system.

Scrapebox may not "cause" malware, but if it is opening infected sites in the background while it runs its processes, those sites could infect your computer... you need to have a good antivirus program running to protect yourself...

I'm using avast free edition and never had a problem. I don't even use malware checker addon. And trust me..I'm harvesting 24/7.

Ya your real only option is to have a decent virus protector/malware protector or run the malware checker add-on before posting. I never use that add-on and I use SB a lot and have never had any issues myself.
