What could be wrong with my Scrapebox? - bertuseng - 10-16-2011
Hi there,
I have purchases Scrapebox a year ago when I lived in England. It worked fine all the time when I lived there. After I moved to South Africa and tried it again after a few months I am having problems with it.
It works fine when I start the program, but as soon as I start using it for scraping or posting or anyting it quits working after a few minutes and then just gives time out errors for everything.
I have clicked on Test server connection when I start it up and its all green. But as soon as I use it for a minute or so and stops working, the test fails the Access Test and Authentication test.
What could be wrong?
I am desperate as I have submitted support tickets a month or so ago, but havent received a reply.

This behavior is looking like a problem with your internet connection. I think somehow the ISP is blocking you for accessing too many websites very fast. While SB gives you timeout error can you access other websites?

Yes, I can still access other websites. Only scrapebox is not working anymore. I have to restart it everytime.

Seriously though, look into something called internet through satellite, a friend had it and it was super fast.

I am not sure if my problem is along the same lines. I just purchased Scrapebox (I live in the U.S.), and I have been using it to scrape proxies so far. However, as soon as I start to test the proxies after about 70-90 it starts to give back all Fails. Also, when I try to abort and restart it always tells me to try back in a few minutes. I have to shut down scrapebox and log back in to scrape again. I don't know what to do as I am still new to using it, but I wish I could scrape more then 70-90 proxies at a time before it stops working. Any ideas on settings I can use or something else I can do?
