Google Penguin Update Targeting Spammers - enigma - 04-28-2012
Google has just introduced a new update to its algorithm. I believe it’s called the penguin update that went live around the 24th – 26th April. It was supposed to target sites that use offsite black hat techniques such as link spamming. While the panda update mainly focused on onsite factors.
I was wondering how different sites were affected and what methods they use to get ranked. If you own sites that rank well as a result of link comments how are those sites doing now? Have you experienced a drop in visitors?
To find out if you have been affected you should check organic traffic to your site exclusively from Google.

Thats good to know. Do you obtain most or many of your backlinks from commenting and do you vary the anchor text
