No Results from Google Harvesting - Normal? - joeleighton - 01-04-2011
I am scraping for SMF forum profiles and my typical parameters are:
google, yahoo and aol
connections set to 50 each
free tested proxies used
I normally get over 1,000 results, but 99% of them come from yahoo.
I may get 2-3 from google and/or aol, but often none at all.
Is that normal?

I would try turning down your connections to 5-10 to see if that helps and raising timeout a little bit. I'm pretty sure its the shared proxies that are your bottle neck but if that's all you can use right now then adjust connections and timeout.

you should also spend more time developing your proxy list.
