TDNAM Scraper Would Be Better If Could Select Alpha Search - mtngoat - 03-31-2010

It would be great if I could select a letter of the alphabet that the scraper decides to scrape from the closeouts.

That way I wouldn't have to scrape 80,000 results just to get to domains that start with A.

This is how the page at godaddy works. So currently I scrape the godaddy site manually to import into the WHOIS scraper. Would much prefer to use the TDNAM scraper though, but at the moment can't do much with it - unless I'm looking for closeout domains that begin with 'z'.

All I can say is WOW - the support and updates to this software is nothing short of amazing, with updates almost every day. The TDNAM scraper is now a very useful tool.

Thanks again.

"The Godadddy TDNAM Scraper allows you to harvest soon to expire domains from the TDNAM $5 Closeout auctions"
- From the Addon Description

There are about 70-80K domain names in the closeout 'phase' at a time. - the addon makes it very easy to find a keyword based domain name, that is also possibly aged, and buy it for as low as $5 (+ first year's reg fee). Hint: use the Whois domain scraper addon on a list of harvested closeouts to find aged domains.

A couple of days ago I found a perfect domain in an ultra competitive market that was 8 years old and bought it for $9 using this process.

What would really be nice is if PR and WHOIS was integrated into the TDNAM scraper so I can see all the info on one page instead of exporting to another module and loosing all that info.

just a tip guys, i buy a lot of expired domains.. I look for legitimate looking domains that people actually forgot to renew, not throw away spammed domains. Once I buy them i put wordrpress on them, and I try to keep as many of the page names the same if possible that google and or yahoo had indexed, if not I do 301 redirects. Then I push the domain through scrape box a few times, and I have a really solid domain and can use it for anything.
