Hummingbird algorithm - CharlesWillson - 10-29-2013

Google has announced a brand new algorithm for its search engine, called Hummingbird.(Hummingbird) may represent a step change in the way that SEO practitioners optimize content, since there will be less focus on the uses of exact phrases and more on the underlying meaning. It’s all about trying to deliver better search results.

It's the same as you did on the previous Google algorithms - good quality content, correct keyword positioning and density, and proper link building. But here's the catch: put more valuable info on your content if possible. It's the nature of Google Hummingbird to find the exact need (not words typed) of the searcher.

Hummingbird is much more about the actual topic of the search query as opposed to actual words in within it.

You can't really optimise for hummingbird per say, other than creating the best page possible on a particular topic.
