How to find new sites for the Indexer please? - bennyboy - 07-31-2019

Hello,

Today I have reinstalled my old Scrapebox(after 5 years) as I wanted to index specific urls.

I noticed that the Rapid indexer list that comes with Scrapebox is outdated and many links are dead.

I would like to find a new list of these links but cannot work out how to do it?

Could someone please tell me how to do it?

I tried in the harvester:
inurl:domain=

I thought Scrapebox would look for urls parameters looking for this but instead it asked me some keywords.
Is there a way to just look for url parameters without keywords?

Thank you so much,

Thats a google question. Its the same as if you put that query in the search box at google.com.

So when you find a query that gives you the results you want in google.com in the search box in your browser, put the same thing in the keywords box in scrapebox.

But max is 1000 results for a query and you probably wont' get more then 300 with a query like that anyway, so you will want to tack on keywords.

Another method is simply google for free rapid indexer lists, and then get a few big lists, mash them together and remove duplciates. Then run them in the rapid indexer and keep only the good ones. There are free lists out there that exceed 100K urls, so you could quickly build up a good list this way, plus you know they are older established domains if they have been around since an old list.

Also of course make sure you are using the latest version of scrapebox and not the one from 5 years ago.

It took me awhile, but I used this method -- I collected countless free lists. Most of them were really sloppy with malformed urls. After a few hours of massaging the data, I was able to put together a decent list. I found different creative ways to use indexing and achieve some surprising results.

Thanks, I will look further into it. Did you get any good results with this method please?

I mean, it's no longer 2009, so the results are decent but not explosive.  I think this is a great method to use in addition to other strategies.  I'm still learning (well, we're all always learning, right?), but it seemed like it produced a significant bump.

Not only have I been indexing my own sites, but when I use Scrapebox to make posts, I often go back and index many of the best sites from which I posted.  It does no one any good to have backlinks from sites  that aren't themselves indexed, I figured.  Maybe this strategy is pointless, but it felt intuitive.  Obviously there's not enough time to index every backlink to every indexing site, so I had to pick and choose.

I also used these two sites partly as the basis of creating my own list of indexing sites

http://www.indexkings.com/
http://www.pingfarm.com/

Once you enter some data in the two above urls, it's pretty easy to copy/paste all of their urls and replace the submitted URL with Scrapebox's {website}.

When creating your own mega indexer list, note the inconsistency between urls in free lists you find on the web.  Some will show stuff like

http://{website}
http//{website}
http://http://{website}
https://{website}
https://http://{website}

and all kinds of other combinations.  This is because previous people like us have simply copy-pasted lists together without trying to repair them.  I've found it useful to do a search and replace for everything so it's always simple /{website}   You can add your own "http://" or "https://" in front of your submitted urls if you like.

My list isn't perfect but I have to adhere to the Pareto Principle and say it's good enough.  I spent hours putting it together and it's mostly good, but I could easily spend many more hours making it perfect haha...perfect isn't necessary for Scrapebox, I'm finding.

Good luck!

Yes you got it, perfect isn't necessary the 80/20 is what matters most.  Glad you were able to build a good list and glad your seeing decent results from it.  Smile

Also i must say I appreciate your attitude.  Ive spent a bunch of my day dealing with people that just are unwilling to learn and unwilling to help themselves.  Its nice to see a reasonable person who realizes its just a lot of hard work and that we ourselves are our greatest bottleneck.

I think it was Jim Rohn that said "Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better".  I try to live that and I can see that you do too.  Good show.

Thanks man...as I said several times, I owe much to you, your site(s), and your crazy good videos.  I'm still learning much with Scrapebox.  When I purchased, I knew it was an awesome tool but I admit I didn't yet fully appreciate what it could or couldn't do.  I'm finding all kinds a uses and overcoming all kinds of obstacles along the way --- such as finding a reliable and affodable vps and proxies....and most recently a crashing problem (which I mentioned on another thread...and I'm still getting to the bottom of it Smile )  [Image: lxn2zRq.jpg]
(but don't wanna hijack this thread now lol)

Oh, I ddidn't see the other thread. Ill search your posts.

Ive been using scrapebox for a decade and I still can't fully appreciate what it can do because I still find and hear of new uses for it all the time. Smile

I would LOVE to see a video on your setup or workflow sometime.  A decade is a lot of experience and I'm sure you're doing things that would make my head spin.  As I'm still (quickly) learning what's possible.  I've run social media bots, etc. for years but that was always easy to do just on a side computer from home.  I'm quickly seeing what's necessary to scale up Scrapebox.  This is nice because it's forcing me to learn how to shop for, set up, and use various types of VPS systems.  Learning this has been on my list for a long time anyway, but now I have a good excuse Smile

Thanks!

RE: How to find new sites for the Indexer please? - loopline - 08-15-2019

I don't really get into videos of my personal setups, but I don't know that it would help, because everything I do is hyper tailored to my outcome/end result. If your looking for something different/have a different outcome/end result then what I do really wouldn't help you it would just get you off track.

Mostly what I do though is automate as much as possible. I held out for years... and years, because I hate to code. I used to build websites in notepad back 20+ years ago, but what like python just doesn't click for me, neither does javacript. That said I finally spent months and learned some python and my first script, which was verbose and took forever to make, literally saved me 2 weeks, as in 80 hours of work the first year. As soon as I saw that, it was game over, I was all in. But now days I don't write scripts, I hire it out, and what I know is just enough to clearly understand and explain what I want and need to my developers. Further I do hack at their code to customize it, sometimes, slightly, and thats useful, and knowing how to run it helps.

But I just have my python guy write up what I need, then I also had him build a script that compiles it as an exe and then I let scrapebox automator execute the exe or I build up a bat file (that I can handle, lol) and let it do that and keep on moving.

Like my scrapebox list service, I had to work on the server the other day, but I traveled for 4 days short of a month this summer, and I didn't touch it a single day, not once, didn't even think about it, and my customers got their lists daily. I don't even activate my customers any more, 1 of my staff does it. So that segment, aside from a few customer service mails, was completely run by machines and staff for a month and in reality it had been like 2 months since I touched it and I may not touch it the rest of the year, if it doesn't break. (knock on wood, lol).

So automation is key and now days staff is also key for things that can't be automated, and then i do only the highest level tasks that can't be given to someone else, like talk to you on the forum, because I can't outsource my experience, hehe

So what is your outcome, are you building links and ranking sites or selling something or ?
