Scrapebox can't scrape footprint...

“Powered by vBulletin” or “Powered by vBulletin” site:.edu

It scrape from aol but not from Google or Yahoo. When used on browser search box it works perfect. What is the problem? Guess scrape box needs more modification.

ok, I think you are not putting it in right jolly

in the footprint box put: inurl:.edu
in the keyword box put: "powered by vbulletin" (in quotes like that)

only tick yahoo and use proxies @ 1000 / now harvest

it should work just fine for you - i just dug up over 1k vb edu forums

Try it like this and it should work fine.

Problem with scraping like you are trying to is that is only going to return 1000 results, and there are over 28 million results.

what I would do is type this into a notepad file.

inurl:.edu "powered by vbulletin" "%KW%"

Save the file to your desktop.

select custom footprint, fill the keywords box with a long list of keywords, then click the small box with an "M" in it directly to the left of the harvester URL, and select the notepad file you saved earlier, it will merge the two together and will return a lot more results than just scraping the way you were trying to before, since google limits you to the first 1,000 urls.

i think i know what jolly means, i also encountered problems while using these footprints searching for edu links.
what i did was, i dropped the "powered by " footprint and went for some basic inurl codes that apply to forums, to scrape forums.

There is a large list of forum footprints thread below

http://www.www.scrapeboxforum.com/Thread-Forum-Footprints

try using these instead of "powered by whateverforumplatformyouaregoingfor"

Guys having problem with this issue, is your SB updated? what version you guys using? did you try contacting the support team?

SB version 1.15.17
Running 200-500 proxies at any given time with HMA VPN for backup
I'm having multiple problems with the search engines building list from the footprints I use. I will go and manually check the search footprint phrasing in the search engine to ensure that it pulls up the results I'm asking for. It does without a problem so I know it works. Most of the time I'm running HMA vpn and then have 200-500 good proxies listed. If i remove the free proxies from my list then I get to scrape just fine for the most part. That leaves my VPN exposed but I just have to go with it. Is this a normal problem? I'm new to scrapebox so I'm still figuring it out.
