Adjusting Maximum Connections Issue - OreHarvester - 04-21-2014

I adjusted the maximum amount of connections to 25 when SB scrapes google. However, while the program is scraping, it displays "connetions:1".

Is this working correctly? If so, why is it displaying "connections:1" in the lower left hand corner of scrapebox instead of the 25 active connections I specified?

You can only use a maximum of 1 connection per keyword, in your case your footprint counts as 1 keyword. Its pulling 100 results per page, and you can get max result of 10 pages, so you could only possibly in all reality use 10 connections anyway, using 25 connections would be a total waste. However its unwise to use more then 1 connection per keyword, and its not needed either. It would result in excessively quicker ip bans.

Not even to mention you only have 50 proxies for which you should use a max of 5 connections anyway, thats for regular keywords. With a footprint like your using, I would set it to 3 or even 2 connections, else your going to go so fast that your ips will get banned anyway. Assuming they are private proxies anyway, if they are public they will be dead super fast so connections are mostly irrelevant.

Thanks Loopline,

Lets say I kept the footprint in the original image, and added 15 keywords in to the keyword box. Would that mean I would do 15 connections max, that is 1 connection per keyword for optimal harvesting?

Correct, if you kept the footprint it would then count your keywords and do 1 connection per keyword. The footprint would then be appended to each keyword and then it would harvest for that resulting footprint, so 15 connections would be used for the 15 keywords.

Maximum connections are not good for this because it is huge burden on it.
