How To Locate WordPress Sites With.... - Altstatten - 01-18-2015

I want to locate...
a. WordPress sites
b. in a specified zip code, for which
c. the MOST RECENT POST is dated 3 mos. or more ago.

Can someone assist me with some detail on how to do that through Scrapebox?

You would have to set an engine to a time range of the past 3 months, although thats a bit subjective. But you could do it, and then just take your wordpress footprint and add in your zip code and keyword.

Then scrape.

Again, can you help me out with what that might look like?

Here is some info about changing the timespan.

If you wanted wordpress sites in 90210 zip code that are about cars you would do something like this as your footprint

"powered by wordpress" 90210 cars
etc...

So you combine your wordpress footprint, your zip code and your keyword for the footprint part.

Then for the time span you can use that concept in the FAQ.

You can also go into google in a browser and setup the timespan you want and on the end of the url it will give you the format like:
&tbs=cdr%3A1%2Ccd_min%3A01-01-2007%2Ccd_max%3A31-12-2007

and then you can add that on the end of the google url in the settings for the custom harvester:
http://www.google.com/search?complete=0&output=ie&hl=en&q={KEYWORD}&num=100&start={PAGENUM}&tbs=cdr%3A1%2Ccd_min%3A01-01-2007%2Ccd_max%3A31-12-2007

Guess I'm supposed to know how to, "set up the timespan I want in Google", huh? I understand the overall concept but.....too much assumed information, Loop! If you'd care to enlighten me about the timespan setup procedure in Google, that'd be great. And thanks for your help!

Sorry, I thought I pasted the link to the FAQ, but I guess I didn't. I was referencing:

http://scrapeboxfaq.com/how-can-i-change-the-time-span-in-the-automator-or-custom-harvester-for-google

As for the time span, go to google, search for anything you want. Then click on the search tools button, then click the any time button, then custom range and change it to whatever time you want, click go. The url bar of your browser will update with the new url, and at the end of it you will see a strip with the &tbs=xxxxxxxxxxxx which is the date range, but its encoded. You don't need the &tbm= that is on the end of the url.

Help me help you though, did you even try to go to google and figure out how to change the time span of your search? Or perhaps search google for how to do that? Smile

Does that make sense?
