Scraping websites by geo-location - ocelotfella - 08-09-2015

Well here's a tough one; I need to be able to scrape a list of sites by the location of organisation behind the site.

I can see I'm not going to get anywhere being vague, so here's what I'm trying to do. I need to scrape a list of bands that are within a certain county. My first stumbling block was doing a keyword scrape on 'bands', the results were as useless as you might expect from such a broad keyword.

I'm guessing I'll be relying on bands saying where they're from on their websites, but much beyond that I'm stuck!

Well I would do

bands county

or
bands city

City being a city that is withing the county that your looking for was counties may not be included in addresses. Also you could do

bands zip code

Then you can use the page scanner to scan the results to see if there is some element of the address that matches what you are looking for.

if music bands maybe more specific country band NY , blues band NY etc even possibly with ny band management . Think outside the "box" ...Trumpet band NY 3 piece band NY etc
