All Proxies Timeout? - godoveryou - 05-04-2010

Has anyone ever had 99% of their proxies timeout? I can only get 2 out of 400 harvested to work which essentially means I'm screwed Smile

Just curious if I'm alone so I can diagnose locally.

im not sure about the timeout issue, but when i first started using sb, i was getting about 20 or so successful proxies i could use after harvesting them,
then it slightly dropped down, i thought this might have been because of the amount of people using the proxies, and so they got burnt out quicker,

then 2 weeks ago i got 164 successful proxies.

since then when ive done harvesting proxies, ive got 0 (none) successful proxies every single time.

im using the very latest sb, so i dont know why its left with 0
this is after harvesting 2,200 approx proxies, then after testing them its left with 0

so i dont know whats changed recently to leave it with 0 successful proxies

Successfully scraped and tested, ended up with 183 good proxies with latest version an hour ago so can confirm version 1.14.34 is fine.
Posting ok as well.

I am using SB v.1.14.75 by now...

All seems to be fine, it finds usually over 2k free proxies ... I check 'em and end up with about 150 - 250 each time ... but I lower even these by checking for speed and removing all over 2s latency... which usually brings them down to anything in between 25-30 at a minimum or up to 60-80 sometimes.

If I check the results again in a very short while, only 2-3 are reporting errors or get higher delays than before ... so I'm satisfied, basically, to do this each day (takes a few minutes in the background) in order to have the most fresh ones working.

Hope this helps?
