Hi there,

I'm new to the forum and have a little experience with Scrapebox.

It's great to join you.

Was using public proxies before and now bought my first 5 private proxies to test it out.

My goal for now is to scrape around 500 keywords at once (nothing on the footprint field).

Now I'm trying to understand what is the best way to do that getting the best of my brand new private proxies without getting them banned. So just watched the following video from loopline. But the way, his videos are really fantastic.

Now I have some questions.

- What is the concept of connection and of a thread?
I can just find recommendations on how many connections to use, but not exactly what it means.

- The video tells to go to the "Adjust Maximum Connections" option. But the newer scrapebox version that I have doesn't have that option. It does have the option "Connections, Timeout and Other Settings" though. But that has several items under the connection tab (see attachment). I'm guessing the one I should set is "Keyword scraper" right? That by default is set to 50. Should I reduce to 1 (to follow the video recommendation of using just 1 connection when it's a small number of proxies like that)?

thanks for your support

Oh, I just found this other video that pretty much answers my questions.

It just doesn't talk about threads. But that is secondary for my needs at the moment.
I now understand the concept of connection and how to configure it.

thanks!

Great, glad you got it sorted. Connections and threads are the same thing, just differnt words. Just symantics.

So 10 connections or 10 threads, same thing.

hmm ok. Would help if Scrapebox used just one of the terms not to confuse people. Thanks for your answer and for the videos you do. They are great.

I think Scrapebox uses "connections" but "threads and sockets" are the physical functions that are used. Anyway, glad you liked the videos. Smile
