Search Engine Selection for Custom Harvester - mazs91 - 07-23-2016

Hey everyone.

Apologies if this has been answered before, i searched the answer for a while before posting this one.

Can you please recommend me which other search engines I can use with the same footprint developed for google? for example, I have verified that bing & yahoo also support inurl & exact match ("") search operators.

Is it safe to use any other search engines with the same footprint for RELEVANT results? Which search engines other users are using for scraping?

Mazhar

This is one I cant really answer direclty.

You can lookup with each engine what they support and build your self a nice comparison in excel.

You might also just try and find a way to build a footprint without having to use advanced operators and make the whole point mute, and avoid ip blocks easier all at the same time. This is what I strive to do, I rarely use advanced operators.

Here is a video on footprints
