Expired domain finder plugin and depth - ocelotfella - 10-24-2016

Please could I have a little clarification on the meaning on 'depth' when setting up the expired domain finder finder?

If I have the depth set to '1' then I never find any expired domains. Do I understand correctly that setting depth to '1' means that the expired domain would have to be on the homepage of the target URL?

For example, if I set the depth to '3' would it scrape as deep as http://example.com/blah/blah/blah ?

Cheers!

Don't think of it like your url structure, think of it like a tree. If your familiar with old file structures, like a file tree.

So if you load in the home page, thats level 1
ANY page that the home page links to is level 2
Then ANY page that any of those level 2 pages link to is level 3.

So you might get to the contact us page, some item thats on sale, the blog, the privacy policy and some archived post all from the home page. like this

http://www.webseoanalytics.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/tree-all2all.jpg

It could be all over the place.

But on each level all the internal links are extracted from those pages and then it keeps going deeper.

Does that make sense?
