Rapid Indexer vs. RSS Submission - Altstatten - 06-06-2011

I don't know the difference 'tween the two. Can someone explain the difference to me and please elaborate a good bit.

From what I've read, they are both basically used for indexing purposes. They are just two different methods all together.

Someone explained it on blackhatworld like this:

both rapid indexer and rss ping are used for indexing purpose, the difference is rapid indexer use some method (just like my friend said) xss backlink.

hxyz://abcde.com/bhw/is/great/{yoursite}/is/good

and it would be

hxyz://abcde.com/bhw/is/great/hbcd://fghij.net/is/good

and for rss ping, it is used to register your website into the blog / rss / something directory so your website will be listed in their directory database. CMIIW
