try making a merge file with your footprint and the %KW% placeholder - something like this:
"%KW%" "powered by vbulletin" site:.edu
Then select Custom Footprint
Paste / scrape a list of keywords into the keywords area, and then click the M button to merge the keywords list with the footprint in the merge file.
You can have more than 1 footprint in the merge file, so you can play around with variations - just put each one on a different line, like this:
"%KW%" "powered by vbulletin" site:.edu
"%KW%" "powered by MyBB" site:.edu
Then make sure your proxies are still fresh, and go harvesting.
